It also was unable to take on dirt that had dried up.

Its app isn't equipped with advanced features such as multiple cleaning modes or automated scheduling. It works with Alexa but its voice controls aren't precise or responsive. It's also a bit sporadic when it comes back to the charging station following the course. Other robots can follow an obstruction or follow the previous route however, the RX3 bumbles around until it finally gives up.

We also had issues with the intelligent features of the device, including its mapping feature and the digital stay-out zones. While it did a great job of keeping away from our furniture legs and shoes but it could easily be caught by cables and socks and couldn't handle the tassels that adorn rugs. We decided not to include the Scout RX3 on our Best Buy list. However, with a reasonable price tag and impressive performance The Scout RX3 is worth considering if you're looking for an alternative to the traditional uprights.
