WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you an increase in specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of the item by +3. A random substat is also boosted alongside every upgrade.

Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless it has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like eth Titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as valuable for those with higher variance because of the requirement to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enhancements.

The upgrader can be found in all major cities, and can be accessed at any time to upgrade your gear. To keep your gear up-to-date it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every several weeks.

Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the item, however they'll always be cheaper than purchasing new equipment. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest up to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. Buying a similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items which can be used to level up weapons and tools, armor and accessories. Players can purchase them through NPCs who sell upgrades to Best item upgrader owners in a variety of currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Utilizing these new currencies isn't too complicated however, the system does introduce some modifications to the upgrade process. When a piece reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This change is intended to allow players to upgrade their gear up to the highest level possible on all their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.

It's also important to use crests wisely, as they are only used for one purpose. For instance, it's a good idea utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests on the Best item upgrade gear you have available and Item Level upgrade then keep Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you're planning to make. This is particularly true for items such as trinkets and rings that take up several slots. The discount for the entire account will only be applicable if all slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
